Strength:

Really fast and stable ride. The edges catch really nice and stick cause of the stiffness.

Weakness:

Same thing another guy mentioned... going down steep moguls seemed a bit tougher, but after a litte getting used to it, it will probably get better (I think I am used to a way more forgiving board)

Well, I just got back from my first time on this board. I am impressed, this board seems to do it all and very well. First off, it is way stiffer then any board I have ridden before, that took a little getting used to. But, after a couple runs and few binding adjustments, the board performed beautifly. No complaints, I hit jumps (~20 foot tables) and it popped and landed beautifly, did some carving down black diamond runs, no problem. Excellent, comes with high recommendations. Oh and I love the looks of the board. I didn''t even realize in the shop that the whole board sparkles, but take it in sun light and it is a dark purple with sparkles... It may sound kinda gay, but I think that it really is a beautiful board. A++ on the graphics on it. (I have the 160)

Weakness:

Nothing really, may be the color and the sparkles?

This is a followup review, after spending a few more days on this board, I think I found my perfect board. This stick does everything well, extremely stable at any speed and super fast, landing is also very solid. I will take this board anywhere in any condition. Worth every dime of the 500.00 price, as a matter of fact, if it has a Burton name on it, it will be selling for 600.00.

A pretty good board overall, took me a while to get used to the flex pattern of the board since I''''m used to more stiff tip-to-tail hard charging boards. This is more suitable for a park and pipe then pure freeriding, though it is very stable at speed even when flat-boarding it. I have aluminum based bindings mounted on it, I suspect it would do better with plastic base because the board flexes more side to side and can be over matched by unyielding aluminum. Very happy on edge and very fast base. Topsheet sparkles, depends on your view, you may hate it or love it.

i have had it out twice now. stiff. very fast. excellent snap and very grippy. light?? i was riding a RIDE CONTROL 153 and wanted something to bring me to the next level. well, this did the job and then some. my riding improved more in two days than in two years with my RIDE. don''t get me wrong. the RIDE was a great beginner to intermidiate board. soloman did a great job with this baby.

Switched up from a 1999 Salomon 450 to this stick. First day on it yesterday. This board is very fast, stiffer than the 450 so a tad less forgiving, possibly a little lighter too. The Definition perfomed great as a big mountain freeride board, this thing just snaps out of turns and wants to pick up speed on its own. The board has great edge control but I had trouble thru steep moguls, I attribute that more to riding ability than the board. Took a few jumps the board has great pop and stable landings. At a list price of $499 I would expect no less (I paid $100 off that). This board is beyond my capability but is such a nice ride I can enjoy the hell out of it, can''t wait to bust it out again!
