the gnu danny kass (dirty habits) with mtx is probably the best board i've ever owned. sure it costs more than similar boards such as the gnu riders choice mtx, lib tech travis rice, and lib tech trs mtx. however, this board has the mervin AG2 core, which is lighter, snappier, and more exotic than the cores in the other boards. this is not only the best magnetraction board out there, but it performs equally well as freeride or freestyle. a sick board with sick graphics. love it.

This is the first and only board ive ever had since i started riding. I bought this board at the start of the snow season in late '01 when the board first came out, and when i had it stolen about 3 seasons later, i searched ebay for months and found a guy who barely used his and bought it again for $125. ive ridden other boards but this is the only board ive ever owned and used the most. i love this board with all my heart. im a very mixed rider and it does everything i need it to perfectly. i paid a lot when it was new, and paid more to get it again when it got stolen, thats how much i love this board.

Customer Service

The Gnu and Lib Tech customer service is always good, never had any problems. As for the place i bought it at in Washington, ive never really shopped there again. But i havent really needed to, ive been using the same gear for quite a while.

Ive ridden new gnus/lib techs in the past two years, a few new burtons and k2s, the gnu/lib techs lines are the only way to go, the wood that they use to produce their boards create the best possible riding experience for whatever style you need.

(Price in Canadian dollars, $1~$0.85US)

The board is classified as "mid-wide", which suited my size 11 (US) feet just fine. This board lasted me two solid seasons in the Rocky Mountains freeriding, although I guess the board is typed as a freestyle set-up.

Customer Service

United Cycle is great if you want personal attention by actual boarders, but without the attitude at the main "skate shops" in town. Also, they are often willing to bargain, esp. if you are buying in July!

This board is sick... The 2002 Danny Kass Board is truely the best board out. It is an all around great board for any style of riding. Check out his new board, very sick also. If your looking to find a board check out Ebay, killer deals!!

Strength:

Its a Mervin. Rides best in fresh snow. low maintenence base. fun in the park .

Weakness:

Slow edge to edge on hard pack due to waist width

I use this board during or after it snows. It a blast to ride through tree runs really shines in the fresh snow.On harder snow you really notice the extra width as it is slow edge to edge.It has good edge hold and feels solid at speed , is fun to ride switch and solid landing in the park.

Strength:

the board never snapped first use - seemed strong on rails

Weakness:

ive only newly bought this board, although i feel ive made the wrong choice as i am 6'4. despite this the hills of scotland don't demand a large board and the board is reasonably stiff and i am not that heavy.

nice wide board for my big feet and seems nice and smooth. but it costs a bomb!!!

The board is very nice because it is progressively getting faster. The sintered infused wax base is the best thing out right now.
