K2 Bike Dark Star Freestyle

K2 Bike Dark Star Freestyle

DESCRIPTION

"Yeah, I suppose that showing up to a contest riding something with a name like the Dark Star can intimidate your competition a bit. Little do they know it's what's inside this board that makes it most dangerous to them." -- Louie Fountain The Dark Star is a freestyle/freeride focused fireball that handles the entire mountain. It's got the progressive sidecut and big shovel nose to get you through the powder to that logging road gap and features like our new Elite full-wrap cap construction, superlight wood core, internal torsion forks and a Mach 4000 base to help you stand out once you're there.

Strength:

lots of pop and control of the jump and sketchy landings are no problem. Its got a strong edge and its great on rails.

Weakness:

i dont really have any weaknesses for this board and i have been riding it for almost 3 years and i still love it.

This Board is the best board i have ever rode well acttually not this one the 02-03 is the darkstar i have but it is the best i had a crappy forum as my first board and then a 147 burton clash and this board is far better then both of them. i would recommend this board for people who like to go big with the 9's and some fun rodeos and crap like that this board just out does it self in ever way.

Strength:

Stability Control (turning and jumps)

Weakness:

Too snappy (wants to kick back)

Great board compared to the Vision I used to ride (any board worth a decent investment would be). Got mine 30% off at a mid-season sale. Not exactly my style since it's more for freestyle/jumping. The board has a good snap and almost wants to kick back during turns. Gathers speed really well, has excellent control in turns and jumps and is really stable...

Strength:

the board is good for jumping, it giveds good landing space and is forgiving, it is a great for jumping and jibbing. good spead going into jumps and a very controlable board, durrable

Weakness:

a little to stiff, lost it's campber(pop)after the first year, the bottom of my board is all out of wack because of the binding mounts and jumping on it, the tension dented the bottom underneith the bindings

the board has some nice graphics, and the board could back it up

Strength:

Stiff enough, nice radius.

Weakness:

A little heavy.

I like the board, and so did someone else, ''cause he stole it! So I replaced it, and paid less the second time. The first time I paid $470 Canadian, then $299 the second time. It''s the first freestyle/freeride board I''ve owned, but I love it.
