its a never summer

Weakness:

i´ve not tried jibbing jet and someone mentioned it might be too stiff. well i`ll find out this season...

first this is not a 00-01 model but a 2002 (why has outdoorreview.com still not managed making a 2002 available) ? Ok i rode this board at SPC and several times in Corinthia (Austria). I love this board for its super damped smooth ride, its lightness, its quick transitions, its timeless design (ive got the 161 which is black and geen)and its indesctructablity. It works perfect in pipe and park but also in powder. you can take it everywhere. My next board will be a Never Summer SL 2004 :-)

I thought burton is best of best, but I changed my mind. smooth and fast better than nitro''s. Super smooth and stable, wicked fast. I''ve been bewildered by the choice available. Responsive, quick, easy transfer from edge to edge. The p-tex sidewalls seem to suck up the chatter and the result is a buttery smooth ride.

This board is fantastic. I had last year''s model and this year''s is even better. Very quick & responsive edge to edge. I ride the 158. It is great for the pipe and the rest of the mountain. It''s a little stiff for the park, especially if you''re into jibbing. The lightness and progressive flex of the board make for HUGE airs and ollies.

Customer Service

Never Summer has the best customer service in the country and I''ll swear by that. They''re a small company which totally hand-crafts the boards. My 2001 SL had a ptex defect. I took it out to the

The NS SL is a fantastic board. NS specializes in producing hand-crafted top-end products--the SL line of boards does not disapoint. If you spend time in the park the SL is the board for you as it''s stable, never chatters, smooth on the landings and provides an all around fantastic ride anywhere you find yourself on the mountain. Some will nitpick the 400+ dollar price but I say the old saying "you get what you pay for" applies well. If you are a demanding and particular rider who cares what''s attached to your feet then NS is the manufacturer for you. They produce an unbeatable line of boards and have the lowest warranty return rate in the industry.

I''ve only ridden my 161 SL for 2 days but I can already tell a huge difference compared to my Burton Twin 153. It''s way more stable, handled the powder at Vail like a champion, smooth ride, went off a couple 15 ft ledges with it, my landing felt way more stable than on the Twin. I''ve been riding for 3 years and this is the best board I''ve ever ridden. Nuff said.
