G3 has re-engineered the reliable aluminum shovel design to create an innovative, light, strong, and durable shovel for backcountry travelers and industry professionals. Heat treating the technical aluminum connector tube and blade after TIG welding relieves residual stresses and produces a stronger shaft to blade interface. The powerful D-grip handle has stash pocket and a unique ice axe loop attachment. The shovel also features a slotted blade for emergency rescue sled construction.
