I regularly check mine in to the luggage hold on aircraft and I don't worry about the contents. Much tougher than normal luggage. Strengths: VERY strong; I stood on mine without any concerns.
The whole thing is well-built, even down to high quality, very tough zippers.
Very comfortable carrying handle & shoulder strap. Weaknesses: Expensive. Hey, it's an Abel :-)
Heavy. I guess that strength has to come from somewhere.
I have the two-tube version which looks just like a gun case; if you get one of these you WILL be stopped and searched in airports ! Customer Service: Not used. Similar Products Used: Loomis' & Daiwa's own rod tubes.
