Summary:
I have the Ari't Hart/Redington Mach 3(the Ari name DEFINITLEY deserves to be first!) on a Sage 990-3 9wt rod.
I am pretty new to the whole fly fishing game but I would have to say on that overall this was the better of the rels I have tried! I was gonna get a Loop Reel because of the large arbor but this was brand new and a great price!
Its just about the coolest looking reel I have EVER seen!! That goes for all Ari's reels though! I mean just go to te site and see what he's got. They all look like the rims on a Ferrari or something!
I would say that this redington version can't be any diffrent then the regular Mach 3 that comes straight from Ari? I have tried to see the diffrences or look them up but can't find anything? IF ANYONE CAN ANSWER THIS QUESTION PLEASE EMAIL ME AT flyonthewall@comcast.net.
Anyway the reel is smooth, smooth, smooth! The drag knob is very easy to use while in a battle! I would have to say i am glad with the choice and would like to have gotten the large arbor but they dont make it in a big enough size for me? But to be able to use either spool is great! Overall a great buy for the money! Worth every penny though i would like to try that Loop Evotec LW.

Strengths:
It seems to be VERY strong! The alluminam is very strong but light! Like i said the option of being able to use the large arbor spool is killer but it just doesn't work for my application? The looks i think are a great strength! I mean these reels were my number one choice because i am a artist. These reels are a true work of art! Not only do they look outstanding they are also one of the best reels out there! I mean they speak for themselves, just buy one and i garuntee you will be satisfied, and that goes for all his models!

Weaknesses:
None that I can see? The only thing that i think they should have done is made a larger arbor spool to accomidate a 9wt line? I mean the large arbor spool will hold 9wt line but very little for saltwater species. ALSO in my rating area I would only give a 5 for something thatis out of this world perfect and have not yet tested the reel to those points of make or brake yet? So a 4 is REALLY good for me!

Customer Service:
Havn't had any problems?
