FlyLogic, in my opinion, has made a truly operationally
and aesthetically pleasing series of fly reels. I am most
impressed with the FLO series and the well thought out
design features of this product. I would recommend this
product to the most decriminating fly fisher. Strengths:
The moss green color and finish of the FLO 456 is just
as durable as it is stunning. This reel has a smooth
adjustable disc drag with a chrome counterweight that is
perfect for smallmouth bass as well as trout in larger
streams. The drag knob opposite the handle side consists
of a larger knurled surface which allows for easy drag
adjustments even while playing a fish. The reel foot fits
beautifully into the reel seat of my 8'6" Hexagraph rod
and matches the wraps of the rod as a bonus. I really
like the tippet keeper on the bottom of the reel. It is
extremely nice to not fumble for the end of the leader
system, since it is lodged between the o-ring/screw
mechanism. Most of all I value the drag system and feel
of this reel. Weaknesses:
