Okuma Sierra 7/8

Okuma Sierra 7/8

Description
A great reel system for the price. Disc-drag and easy interchangeable spools makes this a "no-brainer!" Capacity: 7wt line with 125 yards 20lb backing.

Summary:
A great reel for the money, and surpassed by few unless you spend a good bit more.

Strengths:
Well made reel with disk drag for an excellent price. Beats any reel in its price range, and a few above.

Weaknesses:
Finish is paint, and will chip easily. Bearing is not stainless and must be lubed regularily. Spools small, most sized for 30-70 yards of backing.

Customer Service:
Never used.

Body of Water:
Big Two-Hearted River

Favorite City:
Newberry

Favorite State:
Michigan

Favorite Country:
U.S.A.

Summary:
This is my first Okuma purchase. I use it on my spare 8-wt rod for pike and bass. The reel is of excellent qaulity for a die-cast model and for the low price.

Strengths:
Solid performer and very good qaulity in a low price die-cast reel. Solid drag system, and good looks.

Weaknesses:
This reel has a wide-style spool. I am more in favor of the narrower styles, but this is a small thing, and a personal choice.

Customer Service:
Have not needed to use.
