Body of Water:
Gunnison river and stock ponds

Favorite City:
Electra

Favorite State:
Texas

Favorite Country:

Summary:
Like many other beginner fly tyers, I started with the basic inexpensive kit vice.Four vices and three years later, I tried the Traveler, and decided it was the only vice I needed to tie a range of flies from midge to bass popper.

Strengths:
Holds the hook tight without marring the jaws and rotates with ease.

Price Paid:  $0.00 at gift

Body of Water:
Little Missouri River tailwaters

Favorite City:
Murfreesboro

Favorite State:
AR

Summary:
After tying for a few years with cheap vises, I am extremely proud of this vise. It is so easy to use that my flytying seemed to instantly improve. I'm actually left-handed and using a right-handed vise, but there is no noticable inconvenience. This vise is as good a vise as most people would ever need!

Strengths:
Ease of adjustment. Rotary ability. Hook easy to work from one end to the other.

Weaknesses:
The hook size adjustment is a little small and touchy.

Customer Service:
I hope that I never need it.

I've never use a vise this good before! I've tied a lot of flies on entry level vises!

Reviewed by: Mattman ,  50+ days a year , from Fergus Falls, MN

Price Paid:  $140.00 at Madison River Fishin

Favorite State:
Minnesota

Favorite Country:
USA

Summary:
This is my first vise. I've tied on many others owned by friends. I heard many good things about this vise and decided to try it out. I LOVE IT!! This has got to be the best vise in its price bracket. I looked at many vises and tied on a few others. This vise seemed to look better than any I had tied on or viewed. It is.

Strengths:
Cam feature, jaw holding power, easy access to the fly, true rotary, price (considering what you get at this price and what you get at double this price)

Weaknesses:
I wish you could get other sizes of jaws for it.
