Price Paid:  $37.00 at Campmor

Summary:
i already had one, but saw the newer models at the store, and decided to get another one. the reason: the adjustable strap and longer cable. with this, you can stow the battery pack in your pocket, extend the straps all the way and carry it over your shoulder, or put the strap around the waist (basically anywhere you want to place the battery, you can). the battery pack is a little more compact, making it stowing in the pockets easy. anyhow, a major improvement on an already excellent headlamp.

Summary:
I was torn between this headlamp and the Duo. I chose this one because I think it is more comfortable not having the battery on my head, and it works soooo well in the cold. I absolutely love it. It has served me very well in some real cold, harsh conditions. An excellent headlamp!

Summary:
This is my headlamp of choice. The insulated battery pack works well and hangs around your neck. It has good battery life in the cold. It uses a 4.5v flat battery which can be hard to find. You can buy an adapter which uses 4 AA batteries. I have not spent the extra money on the adapter nor do I want the extra weight
