Price Paid:  $125.00 at REIOutlet.com

Summary:
I have found that this backpack is fine for an overnight hike, however, for a weekend it is pretty tight and for anything longer than a weekend it is a pain. It is especially small when you put a full water bladder in the compartment, as it takes up a lot of valuable space and during winter when you have to carry extra gear. One advantage is the bungee cord on the front that is great for storing rain gear, windbreaker, hat, etc. The MAJOR drawback is that this pack does not have a separate sleeping bag compartment. After a 25 mile day, the last thing I wanted to do was dig all my gear out of my pack just to get to my sleeping bag. The pack is a good fit for people like me with a small build and the pack is balanced well and extremely nimble. It does, however, put a lot of strain on the hips after a while. This was the first pack I bought when I didn't know much about backpacking. Overall, this was an EXCELLENT first pack, but now that I know more about backpacking and what I like in a pack, it is time for me to move on to a better one.

Summary:
Great bag for the price. It's big enough to hold about 4 days worth of gear and food for me. Very comfortable, the frame fits me like a glove. The first time I put one on in the store, even before it was fitted, it felt great. I just went on a little break-in hike, and it was sublime. Can't praise it enough. I have a small-medium frame, and the adjustment range is rather large. Good pack, give it a try.

Price Paid:  $215.00 at REI

Summary:
The pack needs more external pockets, but for a weekend trip, the size is just right.

Customer Service:
I needed to get a larger replacement belt for my pack, and customer service was great. I was able to get the belt replaced easily.

Summary:
Pretty good pack. Nice access. Light comfortable frame. Could use more external pockets. Doesn't adjust real well to my big frame.
