Price Paid:  $130.00 at Sierra Trading Post

Summary:
My wife says...Stay away, unless you frequently carry 50+ on your back. Too HD for simple backpacking and multi-day excursions. I guess the name says it all, they are reserved for K2.

Reviewed by: Joey ,  Backpacker , from Knoxville, TN, U.S.A.

Summary:
After a disappointing year looking for a good deal on medium weight boots , my boyfriend bought these for my birthday. Although they cost more than I would have probably spent, I consider them a wonderful gift and excellent backpacking gear.
They've been hard to break in, but the sturdiness is appealing. And they have super-reinforced toes, but there's still lots of room in the toebox—both great features for a frequently bruised toenails sufferer like me. They're extrememly rugged and waterproof without sacrificing comfort. I do wish the arch was a bit more snug, but the heel feels nice, and all in all, these boots are well worth the price. I plan to have them for quite a while.
