Summary: I don't do a heck of a lot of snowshoeing but when I do I like to get pretty extreme and push it to the limits (much to my wife's dismay). So I went with the Tubbs Pinnacle 30 because it was recommended as a great all-around backcountry snowshoe that would perform in all conditions. The Pinnacle snowshoes have not let me down yet. The deck is super light yet provides the float I need on fresh powder, as I almost never go where tracks have already been set. The cramp-ons perform superbly on steep AND icy ascents too. These snowshoes will not disappoint! I found mine online at ORS Snowshoes Direct .
