Summary I tested this IK in calm waters in the Jobos Bay at southern Puerto Rico. Started in calm protected waters and was a beauty to be in. It was very responsive and great to see the local wildlife (4ft iguanas jumping all around and many birds). Next time I'll go fishing with this AE kayak. I paddled farther into the bay and the wind started to create choppy water, I could feel the tiny waves crashing into my legs. But I managed to turn back easily and never felt this boat unstable. You need to paddle harder to move it just a bit faster. Once in protected waters I found a resting place(in the water) under some trees, took out a pair of binoculars and rested in peace for a long time.So you will have fun with the Advanced Frame IK as long as you do not overestimate it. In my opinion in can do better, i just need to learn more of it by experience. Strength Fits in your car trunk. Lightweight, good quality construction, looks great, pretty stable and tracks well in flat waters. Easy to set up for the second time. Real rigid bow and stern.By the way, purchased a demo and it arrived like new! Weakness Test a demo if you are taller than 5'10". You might outgrow this kayak soon. Know well your kayaking areas. Decide between the 13 footer Expediton or the 10.5 footer AF.Would you like to Comment? Join OutDoorReview for a free account, or Login if you are already a member.
