I looked at a lot of daypacks and tried on several. When I was in the store and had them weighted down, none of the packst that I tried on fit as well or as comfortably as the arc'teryx. I like the kangaroo pocket and the clean design of the pack in general. Plus, the small hip wings are also nice in that anything bigger would just be unneccesary for the weight that you would be carrying in this pack. The price is steep for a day pack, but then again, all the quality packs are between 100 & 150.

Customer Service

arc'teryx = never had to use it REI = so far I've never had a problem with their customer service.

Pack is functional and comfortable. The steep price is defended by masterful crafting and sheer durability. The Kanga-pocket is great for camelbak etc. Hugs to my back even though Im 6''3. Ive got the medium size, and just love it.

Customer Service

Hvaent needed it, but it does come with life-time warranty.

This is my second. I got it in the cinder colour - the ripstop is dark grey. It so soo sweet. I really like this daypack and think its the best for the price. in the WORLD. For 110 CANADIAN find me a better pack, or one with same features. Its very well made, and has excellent features. A little organizer on the inside would be cool, or a secure pocket under the lid, but its a daypack, not a school bag, Again big plus goes for: removeable 6061 (quality) aluminium stay, removeable framesheet, loadlifters, kangaroo pocket with drain hole great fit and hipwings which tranfers load weight well. And it looks good too.

Customer Service

Excellent. A rep called me after I called about the THEN new line of outerwear and we spoke for half an hour. Thats commitment. Also, very good response to questions I asked. I hope the add a little safe zip pocket inside, would be good if it ws waterproof

This is an excellent day pack. Extremely durable, and reasonably priced. I have had mine for over a year and not so much as a loose seam. Well designed for winter as well with room in the outer pouch for a shovel and probe.

Customer Service

Canadian all the way!

Best daypack/ light attack pack.

Good things:
* Superb build quality (general A'yx feature)
* Ergonomic/lightweight plastic/alu frame
* Stays in place when climbing/running etc.
* Kangaroo pocket - why doesn’t other companies copy?

Bad things:
* Could use some sort of hydration system support.

Arc'Teryx do they make a bad product? Probably not. This little beauty is no exception. I use mine every day, to work and then to the gym. The kangaroo pocket that carries your rope when approaching rocks/glaciers is perfect for dirty shoes on the way to the gym. I use mine as an attack pack when backpacking – to reduce weight I remove the plastic/alu frame.

…and it’s quite fashionable (I’ve got the all black)

Customer Service

No complaints. The best thing with Arc'Teryx is that you seldom need to interact with their customer service.

I love this pack. It might be a little small for extreme day-tripping but if you pack light, it's a gem. I've owned mine for more years than I can remember. It is comfortable and durable as any on the market. Good solid Canadian made product. You trust their harnesses, the packs are in the same league.

I think this pack is the perfect day pack. I looked at a lot of packs and the Arc'Teryx tall fit my 6'1" frame the best. The kangaroo pouch is great and can hold a lot more than expected. I like the fact that the hip flaps are small as this is a day pack and does not need full hip belts like the Dana. I use this for day hiking and a lot of traveling. The only downside is the funky tapered design for the main area and trying to optimize the bottom of the pack for gear. I also think it is a great size since you can tighten it down to make it small, but it has the capacity if you need it. It has great build quality. Plus, it just looks great!

Customer Service

The only downside is the price. In the US, it retails for $140 which is steep for a day pack. I got mine on sale at REI for $100 and in my mind, worth every penny. My last day pack was a Jandd that lasted 10years. A lot more technology has gone into these packs since then. After having this pack a few months, I have since bought a Bora 65 for backpacking beacuse I was so impressed with the Bora 30.

I love this pack. I bent the stay to match my spine making the pack very comfortable to wear and easy to move in. The shoulder harness, load lifters, and hip wings work well together making it easy to get a good fit. There is no wasted space in this pack's clever, clean, beautiful design. The ingenious kangaroo pocket really helps me keep things organized. Top notch materials and construction.
