Very impressed with this pack. It does an excellent job of transfering weight to the hips. The lumbar support also feels great. An excellent choice no matter the cost. The frame is highly adjustable.

This is a great pack for the price. I haven't had any problems with it and like the functionality. The bottom has two layers of nylon which is helpful preventing wear. overall this is a great pack

A decent pack for light loads. I have an older version of this pack (7 years or so). The hipbelt isn't very comfortable, and isn't rigid enough to really transfer weight well. Mine doesn't have a detachable lid, which is something that I insist on for my next pack. It is, however, quite large! There are no external pockets (which would be really nice), but plenty of lash points. It's held up pretty well over time (except that hip belt). It can be had quite cheap sometimes, which is the main thing recommending it. Still, I'd spend the extra and spring for an Arc'teryx, which shouldn't be much more expensive if you get it at MEC, and is a much better pack.

Good Value, Good Product. Very durable, saw three continents before getting stolen by some punk. Adjustable, but still not the fit of a Dana. Not as stable as a Dana either when you are leaning over or clinging to the side of a hill trying to swing around an obstacle...pack will waiver. Nonetheless, great starter pack.

I've used this pack for four years of five to seven day trips. Excellent load capacity and capable of custom fit. I took mine on a 23 day Outward Bound trip and used it instead of the Kelty internals they issue. The lack of outside pockets can be offset by adding a couple Lowe accessory pockets. I love the Hydration system by Platypus.

Customer Service

Lowe was very helpful in getting me a replacement part for the Platypus hydration system.

This pack felt good in the store, after a few miles on the trail it was very uncomfortable. The suspension is not the best and I find the hip belt to be too beefy and stiff. I have an older model, maybe the newer ones are better? Other than fit it is built really well. The water bottle pockets are too tight to carry a bottle when fully loaded. You have to be creative to lash items to the outside of the pack.
It is not a bad pack if you get a good fit

Great pack, especially if found on sale for under $150. The sleeping bag compartment is roomy, ample room is available in the main chamber. Easy to cinch down when not full. Quality construction.

Some outside pockets would be nice.

This pack has excellent value. It is extremely durable and comfortableeven w/ a 50lb. pack. The pack fabric is exlellent and the suspension is awesome. this pack is best for non-technical backpacking trips of up to 120 miles, if you pack right and organized. it's easy to lose small items in the cavernous pack space, but this can be remidied w/ plastic bags.

Got this pack from Campmor, and have been very pleased the fit is comforatble and highly adjustable for when friends want to borrow it. The ride is extremely stable, even when running to shelter, and it holds enough to get me in trouble. Probably the best buy in a large capacity pack. No bells and whistles, but a lot of good space for a little money.
