I have had a pair of Sundowners for over 10 years. While extremely comfortable on smooth trails or around town, they just are not up for rough trails under a heavy pack. On steep decents with a pack on the boots provide very little support. I will keep them as light hikers but need a more substantial boot for serious backpacking Similar Products Used: None |

Excellent craftsmanship in a well-tried and very true traditional design. The Vasques, with a little care, will last a decade of rigorous trail, and off-trail, abuse. Suitable for day hikes and distance treks. Customer Service Excellent customer service via my local retailer. The leather inside began to crack (mainly due to excessive perspiration and failure to treat the inside of the boots as well as the outside) and Vasque sent me a new pair for free (they were officially obligated to cover only 50%) even after two seasons of hiking through Colorodado with the Forest Service. Excellent boots!!! I have had mine for about 4 years and no problems. Excellent fit, support, etc. Have done most national parks and can honestly say I would buy another pair if anything happened to this pair. Can't see that happening however (unless someone steals them). Similar Products Used: None |

I have a pair of ten year old Sundowners, have had one sole replacement. Fabulous fit, just enough support, lightweight, airy. Similar Products Used: None |

I have used these boots for three years and about 70 days per year canoe tripping carrying about 120-150 lbs. They've been wet almost the entire time and the stitching still has not rotted. Aside from rust on the metal eyelets they look like new. A little waterproofing every few weeks has definitely helped. I'll probably wear through the sole before anything else. Awsome Boot For the Money. The sundowner has to be the most comfortable boot that i have ever owned. I've had mine for 2 years with fanominal usage. I have worn down the soles. Good thing they can be revived. A huge recomendation from me. Similar Products Used: None |

My Buddies decided to hike down the middle of a creek about 2 weeks ago. The stood the test, not much water inside, my feet never blistered, they dried up and I've had no internal or external damage, I think they will be with me for many more adventures. Similar Products Used: None |

The Vasque Sundowner was an extremely comfortable boot straight out of the box. I have been abiding by the 50-mile rule to break them in and it almost wasn't necessary. The support provided for my ankles is great. The boot contours fit my foot perfectly. Ready for 8 days on Isle Royale in the middle of Lake Superior, MI. Well worth the money. Customer Service Got the boots marked down 20% at a spring sale. Paid for the socks. Similar Products Used: None |

The sundowners are the type of boot you won't give up after the sole wears away--just get 'em re soled & they're ready for the trail again. They perform as well in the city on the asphalt as in the mountains. The sloped heel makes your forward stride an easy motion. Customer Service Vasque has always made quality products that they stand behind. Similar Products Used: None |
