Great lightweight bag, meets and exceeds the 5 degree rating. I've tested it to its limit at -35F below, twice, and it was fine and allowed me to sleep well past bacon and eggs cooking in the morning.

First off, I work at a shop and have access to almost anything you could think off. Second I chose this bag because of Marmot''''s commitment to down quality. They belive that not all down is equal. the down Marmot uses is the best that you can get anywhere in any bag, end of store. The minimum rate each bag. Each mountaineering bag is MINIMUM rated @ like 750 fill power and the fall 2001 bag are min @ 800 which is HUGE, when you conside a min fill. I have used a Marmot Ultralight bag on Shasta that was rated @ 15 and was hot to around 0! Go buy Marmot down! Go on, do it

An excellent product. Accurate temperature rating unlike some other bag mfgrs. Slim fit, I cannot roll over inside it (6' 170 lbs), but I sleep on my back so it doesnt bother me. Excellent workmanship. Pricey, but one of the smallest packing, lightest bags for its temp rating.

Great bag! I have it in the Dyloft version. The lightness makes it an excellent choice for those alpine ascents and it will keep you warm on a forced bivouac. I do most my climbing in the Cascades now, so keeping it dry is critical. This often forces the use of a bivi-sack, which can make the combination too warm! Otherwise best bag I've used.

This bag is a pound lighter than my other Marmot winter bag. It's cut a good bit narrower but I think it's a fair trade off. I've slept in this bag around Mt. Washington in the winter and it kept me very warm. I thought that the material on the inside of the bag was very soft but I could feel the stitching. The exterior is a little fragile as I allready have a small tear in it . Overall this is a great bag.

Rated to -15, with Dryloft it is the ultimate bag for anyone who loves to spend the night under the stars, with no fear. I have really enjoyed this bag and feel comfortale taking it anywhere. If where I am going is covered in snow, I sleep on it, comfortably. If you bring a small fleece blanket it becomes a convertable fortress good for another 10-15 degrees. This, my friends, is my microclimate!

Well, I'll tell ya. I'm ready to give this bag a review cuz God knows, I've slept in it plenty... Let's see, I bought it three years ago and that summer, I slept in it 90 nights in a row? That was in AK. Then I spent a few more nights in it that winter. The following summer I spent another 75+ nights in the thing (can I do a review of the smell at this point?) and this past year I spent another dozen or so nights in it. That's like 180 nights in a sleeping bag!!! Think of how much 180 nights in a hotel would cost!! Wow. Anyway, enough about how much time I've spent in the thing, how does it perform? Superb. I've used this bag everywhere from a state park in Iowa to Aconcagua and Denali, and everything in between. Always warm and cozy (sometimes TOO warm). The only time I was too cold in this bag was when I forgot my thermarest on a Middle Teton ski trip and I slept right on the snow thinking surely I would be dead when I woke up the next morning. Not as roomy in the legs as I would like a bag to be (I can't even bend my knees 90 degrees inside it) but you get used to it after a while. I also don't like the fact that the zipper doesn't go down around the feet. Would make it easier to put boots on in the morning. Otherwise, it seals nicely around the face and neck and is roomy enough for bulky mountaineering clothes. I've only washed the thing twice, and both times the fill got bunched up in the tubes so I had to redistribute it evenly thru the tubes. All in all, it's been a great bag. If I had to go get another, I'd get the same one again.

More excellent workmanship from Marmot at their usual HIGH priced cost. Great choices of fabrics with superb loft. The waste is a little snug and the zipper could be longer. If you need versatility and warmth, this is the one. From AK to NZ this bag has protected me well. Try to find a deal, cuz Marmot is a little too proud of their stuff.

This is my third Marmot bag. Loss of loft over the years/decades retires them to three, then two season bags.

The best bag I own. It ia very warm for it's light weight. The head end is roomy enough narrowing down to more common diminsions at the foot. Lots of loft. The draft collar snugs up nicely and the hose hole is very adjustable. My only beef is the zipper tends to snag the fabric dispite having a bit of stiff fabric along side. I used this most recently on Mount Shasta with temps in the high 20's, I left the zipper open all night with the top drapped over me.

This bag is only rated to -5F, but I've used it in colder conditions accompanied by wind and it was more that warm enough. If you wear a layer of fleece while sleeping this bag should do the trick down to -25F, at least. I suggest the DryLoft option if you may encounter wet conditions. The bag is tough as well.

Customer Service

No experience with Marmot's customer service because their products aare so well made and designed.
