This is a great stove. Easy to use, maintain, and service. The only drawback is that there are really only two settings, off and blow-torch. It is more versatile than many stoves on the market considering your choices of fuel. All said, I think this is still the best stove on the market.

This Stove is terrible. It cooks fast, but the quality of the stove is terible. The Fuel wire is too short, unlike Primus stoves, the stove has alot of plastic parts that melted during an accident. The stove is also not very predictable. I was using my primus against my friends MSR and my stove started to boil water before his, so he cranked up the fuel and even thow it had been running for about three minutes, it flared up and the flames very easily reached the fuel bottle.
Unlike the primus that has a flame spreading plate at the top, the MSR Whisperlite is cheaper and works differently then the simpler design that the Dragonfly,XGK and Primus stoves use that is a more reliable design for high mountain use.
