Use this stove for kayak camping in the Chesapeake Bay and Pine barrens /Intercoastal. Great Stove I normally use Primus propane.butane fule and have never been disappointed. Simmers well, Boils as advertized and very strudy. I have had MSR, Peak, Optimus, and Gaz, this is the best. Although expensive, their are good prices on the net. like Campman.com.

Customer Service

Did some research on each company before hand Primus in Sweden was very helpful with e-mail.

I love this stove. I picked it up as a floor model at REI. I got a pretty good deal on it. I paid $85.00. This is probably more pricey than other stoves, but for the great design and versatility it is worth it.

I used this stove on six trips into the Sierras last year. The weather during the first couple of trips was very cold. We had to hike through snow and we camped at 7,500 foot elevation. I used white gas and the stove worked great. Boils water real fast. You can also simmer food without burning it. Very precise flame adjustment. Better than any stove I have used. I also used the stove in 100 degree weather and it never overheated like my old Optimus stove did.

This stove is made very well. The pump is metal rather than plastic like on the MSR stoves. It is also very stable. The stove has a very low center of gravity and the legs are very strong and light. Just looking at the stove and comparing it to others on the market, you know this one is higher quality.

Another nice thing about this stove is that you can use liquid or gas fuels. It will take just about any liquid fuel you can think of and you can also hook up propane gas fuel tanks to it. This is the only stove I know of that can do this.

This is a great stove and it is the only one I will ever need for backpacking.
