Do yourself a favor and buy this stove. Set up/breakdown are nothing, just screw on the cannister and you are ready to go. I have owned an MSR Whisperlite stove and have used others in some hairy conditions and nothing compares to this stoves dependability and ease of use. Why hassle with a cannister and a tube and extra valves and all that. The sheer fact is when it's freezing and your wet and tired you don't want to mess with a bunch of crap and this stove is 100% crap free.

It took me five years to replace my very used and much loved Svea. The Primus 3266 has everything to make a hardened gear hound melt: ease of set-up, ease of use, weight, and size. I have used this guy on many weekend trips and some weeklong ones too, and have yet to regret taking the thing along.

I have owned many different stoves, and this is the best for everything other than winter use. It is very light (6.8 oz.), easy to set up and light (with its electronic ignition), and reliable. Perhaps most importantly, it has the best fuel efficiency of the many cannister stoves that I have tested.

I agree with all the others. This is a great piece of gear. As everyone has said it is light small and easy to use. I really like the fact that I don't smell like a gas station and have soot all over me when I'm done cooking.

Light weight, easy to operate, clean burning, adjustable heat, inexpensive, very efficient and works every time - zero maintenence! After twenty years of white gas I'm never going back!

Possible answer to the 1/3 fuel problem mentioned below - Retighten: After cooking with the stove one morning, I noticed the flame was dieing. I went to remove the empty canister and noticed there was still fuel. I decided to retighten it a little tighter. Relit the flame and it came back to full strength.

So far, it's been working great for the past year. With the tiny Snow Peak cannister, it weighs little for backpacking and lasts all weekend. I pack a piece of tin foil in my kit for an additional windscreen.

This is a great stove for the money. I had the one with the piezo igniter. For $25, you get great fuel efficiency, light weight, and a piezo igniter. I don't know what's wrong with everyone's igniters, but mine worked flawlessly every time for two years or so until I upgraded to a Dragonfly.
The windshield/heat reflector is a joke. It's just a warped rounded piece of aluminum that has notches in it for resting on the undersides of the potholders, which it does rather insecurely. The potholders offer little stability for even a 1-liter pot. You must constantly be holding it or it will tip. In addition, once you get into the lower temperatures, -15F and lower, the stove just dies. That was the main reason I moved to a Dragonfly
Overall, it’s a great stove. Aside from the faults listed above, nothing is terribly wrong with it. With its easy setup and GREAT piezo igniter, it's up and cooking in less that a minute with no priming or matches. That has to be the best thing about it, and the aspect I miss most. It's perfect if you need a stove for Boy Scout outings, or things of that nature. It served me well for 2 years.

This stove is awesome. Used it on a 5-day trip in the lower Enchantments in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, and I couldn't believe how well it performed for how light it was. Cooked our meals in 3 minutes when my dad was waiting 10 for his!
