We've purchased 4 Eureka Timberlines for our Scout Troop so far and they have to be among the best value going. The 2-man tents provide more than adequate space for 2 boys plus gear annd the bathtub floor good wet weather protection. They have survived half a dozen trips so far and the boys are not exactly easy on the tents as they have been learning to set up, take down, pack and store. Durability and value are the two words I would use to best describe this tent. It holds up, is packable, durable and is relatively easy to set up/tear down quickly. this is an excellent tent. I have owned the original model for 23 years. i have used it in all four seasons including a 2-foot dump of new snow and 40mph winds. my model has aluminum poles which makes it a bit heavy. The optional vestibule is a great addition. Every owner of this tent I know loves it. |

This is a great beginnner tent. easy to set up and bomb proof you can have this tent is 80mph wind and it wouldn't move. only draw back is the weight. |

An excellent 3-season tent at a very reasonable price. For casual backpacking where weight is not a priority, this tent is hard to beat. At almost seven pounds, I would not carry for trips ov over a week or when I was expecting seriously inclement weather. Customer Service Four years with zero problems. Similar Products Used: None |

I rent these tents at my work, but they are the outfitter models ($240). They are very durable as we can usually get 3-4 years of hard use out of them. I have spent a few nights in them and found them to be a decent tent. They hold up to moderate wind and rain without any additional guylines. Inside, the floor plan is roomy, though like all A-frames, head room is limited except in the middle. Overall a good tent, especially for renting, outfitter service, or boy scouts. Customer Service Eureka is a bit slow at getting us parts for these tents. Similar Products Used: Timberline Outfitter 4-same holds true for these as for the 2 man. |

This is one tough tent. Set it down with sand witchs on the coast of Texas with a tropical storm brewing and making waves offshore. Tent withstood 40-50 knot winds no problem. Sure it was load and shook a bunch, but at least we were not in the sandstorm outside! |

Don't bs a bser! I've had my Timberline (3 man ?) since 1977. Though me and my trusty tent have seen everything from hurricanes to -23F snowstorms. It is not a true 4 season tent. The sides of the fly are to high and something has to be done about the stupid fly poles on the ends that keep getting out of round and falling off. COME ON EUREKA!!! Like every other story teller says, it is definitly is the best first tent anyone can own. The trouble is you never want to get another kind. My camping buddies just bought a 4 man timberline outfitter, it is built very tough but you still have those stupid end pole connections. And can anybody tell me where I can get a 4 season tent in geeen or brown that dosen't have those silly yuppie ceiling windows that rain condensation crystals on you in the winter. jk Similar Products Used: None |
