I love my bod! I'm talking harnesses here. I feel one of its best features is the ability to put this harness on anywhere without haveing to jump through annoying leg loops while on a trecherous sight. You can strap yourself into it with much ease, not to mention how adjustable it is. When you're not climbing loosen the straps for added motion and comfort. Then just tighten when you're ready to climb.

I have used my Black Diamond Bod harness for everything from indoor gym climbing to mountaineering. It is a very versatile harness, and I really appreciate the drop loop design in order to take care of nature's calls. The gear loops are substantial, and it is comfortable. The leg loops could be padded more for long stints or hanging belays, but then this harness is also light enough to be used in the gym. The buckles are fairly easy to thread and are very secure.

I've been climbing for 6 months or so, and this has really been a great harness. I'm not real fond of the diaper style harnesses, but this is a really functional harness for the money.

I worked at a climbing wall, where I sat and belayed all day and had the opportunity to try all different types of harnesses, including the most expensive on the market (The Guru) I love the Bod for the fact that it has adjustable leg loops and the simplicity of the design allows for easy on and off. I have found that the webbing leg loops are more comfortable than the padded ones for the fact that the foam absorbs sweat and moisture, making it uncomfortable. Around the waist there is the perfect amout of padding so that it is not too bulky. The gear loops are forward enough that it is not a struggle to reach gear while climbing. This is the harness that I recommend to everyone. And when it comes time to buy a new one, I will buy the Bod again

A pretty solid value in a versatile all-arounder. Works over my winter gear and works in the gym. The lack of leg padding makes steep or hanging belays a bit less comfy but they keep their versatility. Decently light. Really well made, had mine for around 4 years. Some are cheaper but the finish of Black Diamond stuff has always been nice.

nice lightweight harness without any bells or whistles. do wish it came with a belay loop. have trouble clipping into slings for multi pitches because of the lack of belay loop. nice big gear loops a plus. adjustability a plus. not the most comfortable.

Good harness, especially for beginners. Great for women - fully adjustable, most notably from the crotch to the waist -- my trouble spot because I'm so long in that area. Definitely great for gym use, but I did receive a warning from a staffer at a gym I visited - he took a fall in a Bod and the buckle damaged his rope because he fell sideways. Apparently, the edge of the buckle isn't as rounded as it should be - not knife sharp, of course, but enough to do damage in a long fall. After hearing this, I decided not to use the harness during long outdoor climbs. It is definitely worth the money you pay for it, though, if you're top-roping in the gym!
