This helmet fits just about anyone easily. The adjustment is great. The foam padding is a little sticky when trying to slide over a hat. The chin strap buckle is difficult to work with gloves on too. It's a little heavy too, but you feel safe in it. I forget I have it on most of the time.

This is a great helmet.. While caving mine has saved me from falling rocks on three occasions and is still going strong.
It is very easy to teporarly attach a head lamp and adjust.

I prefer the "BEST" for full time caving and cold weather as it does not have the vent holes.

For both winter and summer use the adjustability is a great feature. Thought it looked a bit flimsy when i bought it but it has stood up to many years of adjustment. Decent ventilation and good coverage/durability vs weight tradeoff. Not the cheapest but worth the extra money for the adjustment system.

What do you really want in a helmet? Has worked with the few pebbles that have plummeted my way. But then it should! Quite heavier than the meteor, but you can pack your harness, prusiks, belay device, etc. inside to save volume in your pack. Nice.

Light, stable, reasonably priced, easily adjustable - the Petzel Ecrin Roc is the first helmet I've worn that I can almost forget I'm wearing. It works well as both a summer and winter helmet. Visual field is not restricted, but the protection feels pretty good. I've been transformed from a helmet-hater to a helmet wearer by the Ecrin Roc (and two young kids).

The Ecrin Roc is kind of the old standby helmet, so it least you won't be the only one around wearing it. This is good, too, because this thing definitely lacks in style! Warning! It also feels like you're climbing with a salad bowl on your head, and this is annoying on vertical routes where you want to be close to the rock.
It's worth checking out some of the more modern designs for a fresher alternative.

OK, so there are sleeker looking helmets on the market, but this classic is tried and true. Easy to adjust for use by adult or kids (My 8 and 9 year old boys can wear it). Excellent ventilation for both winter and summer use.

Just used this for two weeks in the Gunks. Good adjustability, a little clumsy feeling, but did not make me overheat. Overall not a bad helmet. Could make the strap a little more comfortable.
