The Miuras are great for hard sport climbs and technical edging on faces. They fit faarly narrow and only stretch much if they are really tight in the begining. They fit similarly to the sportiva cobras but are a little more tuned and are lined, so they don;t stretch so much. if you plan on doing different types of climbing, get a second pair of comfy shoes for multi pitch and easy routes. I suggest downsizing atleast two sizes if you want max prefomance. Mine are 3.5 sizes under street shoe and I can wear them for more than 20 min. without unreasonable discomfort. theyre kinda expensive, but worth it.

These are the best shoes I have ever used. They stick to rock, gyms, and mossy boulders like glue. I got them a size and a half down, like the others suggested, and they fit like a glove. The only downside is crack climbing, it''s quite painful. Fortunately I suck at cracks and so don''t do them much.

The best shoe on the market in my opinion. I have not worn them all but this is the only shoe I have worn that can both smear and edge. I can climb 5.11''s in the gym and go trad climing all day with a little pain (a little tight). No shoe will do it all, but this shoe will get damn close. I got them because a budy of mine told me to. He has gone through 8 pair. I also noticed every Climbing Mag has like 10 pictures of people wearing them. A must buy

I have owned the Miuras for about a season and a half now and can say that hands down these are the best shoes I have ever owned. I have used them on everything from overhanging sport routes to trad climbs (if you can stand the pain...suggestion, take them off after each pitch while belaying) and even to crack climbs. The real sweet spot comes in with thin face climbs and technical edging - precise and sensitive and sticks like no other - XSV Rubber is good stuff. I sized them small because I like the power I obtain with curled toes, so I don't know how they would perform in a more humane sizes on the feet. LaSportiva's Mirage is great too, but only for steeeeeep overhanging routes. I don't know if I would recommend these for beginners. See my review for the Mirage too.

Amazing shoe. I use mine inside and out, I've used them on pumpy sport routs in Clear Creak and even in a crack or two. I can even bare them on the trad routs in Eldo. I feel like I'm cheating they stick so well. Everyone I climb with oo's and aww's at these babies. amazing preformance on everything I've thrown at them. I love the slingshot rand sportiva uses, it vacume seals the shoe to you foot, no slippage at all. Mine streached maybe a half size (european), and I feel like they were designed for my foot. Go get a pair!

My Miuras are fantastic shoes for cranking on hard face routes. When I bought them, I chose the same size as I wear in Mythos (my trad shoe of preference); this initially seemed like a mistake, as they were simply excruciating to wear and showed no sign of stretching to fit. However, now that I've adapted to a life of taking my shoes off between attempts on a route, my feet are much happier, and I can edge and heel-hook on the tiniest of nubbins in complete confidence. I particularly like the lacing system on these shoes; it takes very little effort for me to get a beautifuly snug fit, and taking the shoes off again is a snap (which is great, considering how often I have to put the damn things on and take them off). I wouldn't recommend the Miura for anything other than hard sport or gym climbing; sized to perform well, they're painful to smear in (which makes slab climbing a nightmare), and you can forget about going near a crack in these shoes - you might as well take a heavy bludgeon to your toes instead.

I climb in La Sportiva Mythos and Boreal Diablos for long days of trad climbing; the Miuras are solely confined to the gym and sport crags.

I have been climbing for four years, and have tried many shoes. I tried the Miura on the advice form my friends. I Love them. I say buy them small, and let the shoe take over. The only complaint I might have is that the heel does not fit as well as other shoes I have had. I have a small instep, so if you do too be wary of the heel slipping. The thinner your feet the better for this shoe. However, I have wide feet and they are still great.

Customer Service

I have worked with the La Sportiva company, and have always recieved superior service.

Great sport climbing shoe. A bit painful at the beginning (I sized mine 2 sizes smaller than street shoe size) but once you break them in, they are unbeatable for bouldering and fontpointing into tiny pockets. They were recommended to me as the most popular shoes in Fontainebleau.
