The North Face Mens Denali Jacet Fleece Tops

The North Face Mens Denali Jacet Fleece Tops

DESCRIPTION

The mother of all fleece jackets, this is a TNF staple. A super warm layering piece for cold weather expeditions. It's also a great looking piece for around town on chilly fall days, or cool summer nights in the mountains. With its abrasion-resistant reinforcements, this jacket is also an excellent dry-weather ski or hiking outer layer.

Greta asual jacket for wearing around town, school, work, etc. Little bulky to use as first layer but very warm when worn alone. I would not have bought this jakcet for market price due to the lack of windstop protection. Though 120 was worth it for this TNF fleece. Buy this fleece as a casual jacket with little intent of active use.

For the price paid, this jacket''s been well worth the money. I guess the bright yellow ones weren''t selling too well. Adequate for those cool California winter days, a little too bulky to wear under my shell when I went snowboarding once. But, it kept me quite warm, maybe a little too warm. Had it for over two years and it''s still in great condition. It''s been worn mostly as a casual everyday jacket.

I dont do a lot of outdoor activity like the abve choices, but around town it works well. comfortable and warm, if it's too warm I just zip the front down. Fits under my REI Swithback Parka (Gore-Tex). I got this at the north face factory outlet for 83.99. Get it now! (3-24-00). (value rating is at discount of 50%)

I want to dislike TNF products. I dislike their unflagging love of plastering their name all over their products. I dislike how often buying their products support not US manufacturers, but overseas manufacturers, though their price tags sure look like their stuff would be American made. And yet, I can't dislike things that just plain work. My Denali jacket's been car camping and backpacking all over the U.S., backpacking on two continents, cruising just about all of the above and more, and it's warm, well-made, well-featured, and still looks good after who knows how many washings. The pitzips are extremely handy for easy over-heaters like me, the pockets are the right amount and well positioned for backpacking (well, the upper chest pockets are), and the zip-to-the-chin front zipper is just old fashioned nice. I want to dislike this product (TNF logos on the front and the back? Jeez, give me a break; not many of us are posing for the cameras), but I just can't dislike anything but the price. For $160, and this simple of construction (simple cuffs and hem), it should be made in America, from Polartec.

A very warm jacket. The 300 weight is great for around camp, but is often too warm when active (unless it is REALLY cold). I agree with the other reviewers, the fit is a little odd. Size L was tight in the shoulders and arms were short. So I got an XL which leaves a ton of room around the waist. Mine is about 4 yrs old and is holding up great. Only complaints besides fit are 1) Needs Double sliders on the pit-zips 2) Needs draw-cord at hem. (These may have been added on newer models). A good warm sweater if you like the fit.

Good jacket for the fall and spring but it is not warm enough for the winter. The wind goes right through so it can still be pretty chilly. But i love the style and the duability.

Well this is a great product, if you have a lot of cash to burn. A fleece is a fleece, you would have as much luck going with a less well known brand, a name and pit-zips are not worth 90 bucks. I have had considerable problems with mine, the pockets have torn, and it dose not hold out wind as well as it should.

Customer Service

One thing that North Face dose do well is fix there grap. I have sent in my backpack and they fixed it no questions asked.

Received it as gift from Mom who I know paid the full $160 for it. Initially wore it under a shell for skiing, but it is way too warm for strenuous activity and even the pit zips don't do much to relieve it. Does not fit comfortably even though it seems to be the right size. Given the price and lack of flexibility in use, I'd go elsewhere for this functionality.

Arc Teryx Gamma SV fleece is a much better and more versatile product because it is wind and waterresistant and can therefore be worn as a single piece rather than needing to be layered.

I got this jacket at much lower than the retail price, but I would pay upto $100 bucks for it. I have weared it out on backpacking trips, climbing trips, snow trips, and walking my dog. It has kept me warm, and stayed good quality.

Customer Service

I had problems with the pit zips, in that they scratch my arms when I'm not wearing long sleves. I took it into REI, even though I didn't get it there, and they quickly replaced it.
