I usually just read these reviews, but these skis are so damn incredible that I head to write about them. All the stuff about instant improvement is true. These skis float through powder and bash through crud. They even dart through moguls. The only down side is that I may have to retire my screams.

the pocketrockets are an ill ride demod a pair of (173)at jackson over chrismas break. they were sick in the park and running them though pow was pritty boudacious. so with all the wonderful finacial help from family over the break i decided to scoop a pair with a set of s914ti wide breaks. its a tight set up and would suggest neone who is looking for a powder ski to swiftly go to a salomon dealer and buy these now.

I just demoed these(185 cm) in Jackson. Everything they say is true and more. Immediately I was a good mogul skier. I flew through powder and crud. Short, slalom like turns were easier. Heck, even my landings and rotation in the terrain park were nicer. On these you're immediatly a better skier. Unfortunately what they don't say is also true. On hardpack at high speeds they loose some stability. If you're a big skier(6'3") who uses more power than finesse like me, its hard to make the pocket rockets find and hold an edge. Obviously I shouldn't have expected much from a soft powder ski, but it should be said that these don't do everything well. That and they're really expensive. I bought my Bandit XX's with bindings for less than a pair of bare Pocket Rockets.

These skis weren't on my shopping list but I visited Copper Mountain during a Salomon demo day and had a chance to try them out. I've demoed about a dozen other skis in the past month and these were absolutely the most fun to ski on. There wasn't alot of powder at Copper but they still skied great. Very easy to handle yet they make you feel like you can take on anything. Easy to skid and great edge hold. Definitely prefered over the Scream 10 Pilot. PRs look great too... I just might have to buy a pair...

A truly remarkable ski. I you are considering purchasing a pair of pocket rockets stop reading this and immediately go buy them. This is a ski that will live up to all of the hype. I was shocked at how responsive this ski is in all conditions. This is quite frankly the best ski that I have had the pleasure to ride. It is a powerful quick turner and eats up all conditions with ease. Forget everything that you know about skis and ride a pair of Pocket Rockets as soon as you can

After purchasing the x-screams from solomon I thought to myself that these were it. Though, they were a remarkle improvement over my Atomic 918s in the powder and in all other conditions, but, after trying the Pocket Rockets in the real deap stuff nothing compares. The Pocket Rocket were dreams to ski in. After a 2-3 foot dump, the real feeling of floatation was finally realized . The skis love to turn on themselves bouncing up and down in the deep fresh. Complete control with confidience. The only weakness is that they do tend to be a little harsh in bumby conditions but other than that this is a trully a remarkeable ski for the steep and deep. Just Awesome!!!!!

These skis really help me compensate for my recurring feelings of inadequacy. When I'm on them, I feel like nobody could ever pick on me again. Plus they're blue!

Awesome skis, very stable in almost all conditions. The only time i felt uneasy on them was at high speeds on a bumping hard groomed trail. tend to bounce a little under thos condition, but who cares. The ski handles everything else with ease.

if you had to have just one pair of skis this would be a good choice. through my work i have access to any number of skis to ski on. this is the most versatile ski i've ever skied in my 25+ years of skiing,...they can rip it it up on the groomed(although not nearly as good as the atomic 9.12's)ski crud/ice/packed etc. with the best of them(i keep the edges 3 degrees SHARP mind you)etc.,...but oh man,...there is no EASIER ski to ski in the powder than these, they just FLOAT,every time,allthetime...ya,ya people will argue that there are better skis etc. but the PR's are ridiculously easy to ski, and ski well. salomon knocked it outa the park with the POCKET ROCKET!.

certainly the most versatile ski i've ever owned. easy to ski and fun, fun, fun. you can lay them over very nicely on groomed and lay nice medium radius trenches,...but they really shine in the deep where they make pow skiing ridiculously easy. you really feel like your just floating along,...and the short lenght and relatively soft tails make correcting "mistakes" easy,ie., lean back and pull them around. i own some other impressive single purpose skis but these salomons do just about everything very well. huge sweet spot.
