Bought these at a year end sale and mounted S912 bindings. First day on them was spring conditions with 2 or 3 inches of fresh. In the morning untracked they floated like a dream. By the afternoon I was busting through the crud with big fast turns. And I was surprised at how well they carved on the groomers. I live in Western Canada and bought them to ski resorts like Fernie and Sunshine Village, and after only one day I know I''ve made the right purchase. Only drawback - I''ve been told they were the most stolen ski this year, so lock em'' up!

I have demoed these skis twice: 2001 spring in France and 2002 January in Finland. In France we had very heavy, sun melted snow, which had landed the night before. These skis performed very well. They were so easy to turn, that I could ski even in the tightest trees. They made skiing in heavy conditions very easy. The length I tried was 175 cm, which is a bit short for me though (187 cm). I hired them originally for my wife so we could do some off piste skiing together, but I ended up trying them out myself also. My wife loved these skis. I probably have to buy a pair for her. In Finland I tried 185 cm on very icy surface. These skis performed surpricingly well. They are not race carvers, far from it, but the sidecut plus very soft tail makes them to carve on ice, at least a bit. I would propably buy these skis by myself too, but I don''t want to have same skis as my wife : )

(All prices in Cad.)This is just an awesome ski. Super beautiful & shinny. This skis were brought on March 9th 02'' and it is actually the 2003 Pocket Rocket model. There are some few graphic changes, but nothing major. I personnaly find it nicer than the 1st generation 2002 model. It has the same specs.; I own a 175cm, (122,90,115) & R18. Pretty nice, both style & performance. Unfortunetly, I haven''t had a chance to test it out powder. However, this skis is super solid on ice. Very wide, extremely stable, very shape edges. Great skis. Good recommendation to everyone with powder & all mountain background, & of course, newschool also. Skis are mounted with Look Pivot (145$cad)+ wide brake (30$cad), which is exactly the same binding as the Rossignol Axial model line (turn-table).

I was having trouble in the crust covered powder, so I rented the Pocket Rocket. This ski is rediculous!! While the XX got stuck in the crud, this ski went right through it no problem. When I was able to hit patches of clean powder, it was like a dream (I was smiling the entire time). If you like the backcounrty, this is THE ski. It did terrible on the groomers; it was squirmish and slow, but who CARES!!!! Try this ski and you will fall in love too.

This is a very lively and fun pair of skis. The width guarantees floatation in the powder and they shine in all other conditions. Surprisingly good on ice and very easy to ski. Recommendable if you’re into exploring the whole mountain.

I originally bought these boards because I wanted something that was quick turning in tight situations and busted through the NW pow. After demoing a pair I was so impressed I went out and bought them the next day. Once perchanced I found they were much more versatile than my original impressions! The pocket rockets not just whipped through the tight trees, narrow chutes, and float on pretty much everything (including sun baked soup and nasty crud), but provide supper soft landings, and can even take on serious moguls. They are extremely lively once you find their center and will turn on a dime. I have not had a chance to use them on ice so I don''t know how they handle there. Their only downfall is at maching down groomers (but you should have never looked at these if you want boards to do that). They are also pretty light and easy to hike with. If you are looking for boards that can handle pretty much everything the Pocket Rockets are it! I do suggest that you demo them first, especially on a powder day.

I LOVE these skis. I didnt think they were gonna be able to hold an edge on the hard eastern snowpack, but they shined. Solid base for stomping landings. I have yet to use them in their element, powder, but i''ve heard great things about them. With a waist of 90cm and a tip of 122cm its hard to imagine them sinking in the pow. Very light! Mine are mounted on Salomon 912ti Pocket Rocket bindings, happy with those too. Great buy, both east and west. One of the best.
