A overall good stove. Very stable. The plastic pump needs some work I've broken two. Customer Service Although they won't sell parts direct they replaced both of my bad pumps with no problem. |

I used this stove and a XGK II and a Whisperlite when I went on a two week long trek with Boy Scouts at Philmont Scout Reservation in New Mexico. It worked very well, but the whisperlite boiled water faster and used up less fuel. The flame adjustment was nice, but it wasn't really needed. I did find it noisy but it didn't really bother me. One nice thing about it was how small it packed up fairly small. Overall a good stove. Similar Products Used: MSG XKG 2 and Whisperlite |

Looks like I may be the only one with an overall negative opinion of this stove. I had a Whisperlite for many years that finally got too old to use, so I bought the Dragonfly. It never performed as well as I thought it should. Took it on a S. Utah desert trip... my companions had a Coleman Extreme and that stove boiled almost TWICE as much water in about half the time. I don't care about a minute or so boilding difference, but it was soooo slow. Plus the thing is so NOISY, it'd scare any wildlife away for miles. Very annoying noise. I took it back to REI... they timed it, and it didn't work out too well there either. Could have been a "lemon", I don't know. And just my opinion. I am now a happy owner of a Coleman Peak Extreme. Similar Products Used: Coleman Peak Extreme, MSR Whisperlite. |

My wife and I were in the Adirondacks for a week this summer and used the Dragonfly to bake a variety of different things and it worked great. The fuel consumption was was negligible considering the amount of time that the stove was running. I also used it on a five day trip last winter and it worked like a charm. It is a bit heavier than the whisper lite but if you like to bake on the trail it cannot be beaten. |

WOW! This is one of MSR elite stoves, top of the line. One of the few compact stoves that you can cook food on without any trouble. I used it over the summer on a canoeing trip. There was 9 of us and we cooked all our meals on it. We used up 32oz of fuel the 4 days we were out there. The only downside was that I diden't own the stove. Also, you need to get the Mighity Lite stove stand to make the stove a lot more stable. Similar Products Used: I own the MSR WhisperLite Internationale 600 with the MighityLite stove stand. The 600 is another great stove by MSR! |

Have used it for weekend outings and weeklong treks in the mountains. It is a little heavier and larger than other MSR stoves I have used but is worth it because of the ability to control the flame. It is a little loud and can annoy others but I do not find it a problem, expecially when using the windshield. Starts easily and burns efficiently. Would not trade it for anything! It is the best backpacking stove I have seen or used. Similar Products Used: I have used other MSR stoves like the Whisperlite International which I loved until I tried the DragonFly. |

This is the chef's choice by far. Reason- incredible control, perfect simmering, and it's quiet too. The Cool Fuel idea is very smart. Downside- the legs are bulky and the stove does not fold as small as it should. Also, the gaskets can easily break- notice the spare parts kit MSR sells- you have to figure you'll need one sometime on the trail. Similar Products Used: Primus Multi-fuel 3288- tougher but loud and simmers like a steam train. |

What can I say. I love this stove. Its light, its extrmely stable, it folds up really small but must importantly it is just a great cooking tool and is very easy to use. Customer Service I havnt had any experience with the customer service since it has been running great since I got it. Similar Products Used: some colman peak 1 stoves |

I returned mine! Beautifully engineered stove, great features, simmers great, packs great, but I couldn't stand how NOISY it was! Sounds like a jet engine taking off. Couldn't talk to the person sitting on the other side of the stove! Nearby backpackers were looking at us. Returned it and bought an Optimus Explorer, which I LOVE and which is super-quiet and simmers well. Similar Products Used: Optimus Explorer |
