MSR WhisperLite Internationale 600 Stove Stoves

MSR WhisperLite Internationale 600 Stove Stoves

DESCRIPTION

Whether it's white gas, kerosene, jet fuel or automobile gasoline, the Whisperlite Internationaleâ„¢ takes it all and burns it easily. The secret is in the large diameter fuel line that lets you burn poor-quality fuel with less maintenance or cleaning than other so-called multi-fuel stoves. Like the Whisperlite Shaker Jet Stove, the Whisperlite Internationaleâ„¢ features a Shaker Jet needle, which automatically pushes out any excess fuel debris with a simple flick of the wrist.

Great for international backcountry adventures, backpacking, mountaineering, kayaking and camping

Windscreen, heat reflector, fuel pump and reusable stuff sack included 14 oz. (400 g.)

This stove is **GREAT**. This stove has provided me with hot food and coffee on the trail for 5-plus year now. Boils water in a flash and uses a minimal amount of fuel. The extent of maintenance I have done: regrease the o-rings. This is one righteous stove!

This stove kicks serious a**. I have a wisperlite international for approx. 3-4 years now and it has never failed me. The beauty of the MSR wisperliite is its simple design. Less parts mean less failure. Also, it is nearly impossible to clog with soot, as long as you take the time to shake it after each use. Once, I remember I didn't shake it for a while (just lazy), and I had to take it apart. However, it was so easy to take apart and clean that I had it back running in a couple of minutes. The simplisity and reliabiilty of the wisperlite make it an extremely safe stove. You'll likely be able to depend on it when a survival situation occurs. And who cares about simmering your food, thats for wimps and commies anyway!

This stove has been problem free for 4 years. Light weight and reliable. The best part about this stove is that it is completely field maintainable.I do wish that it had simmer capabilities. To bad the Dragonfly is so expensive.

I enjoy using the wisperlite I600. It is light, compact, and easy to clean. It takes a little bit of getting use to the controls, but after a couple of uses one should have the priming and temp. controls down to an art.

This little stove is wonderful. I've had mine for 4 years now without a single problem ... unbelievably hot, simmer is of course possible but requires attention. I've never bothered with the heat reflector/windscreen and see no reason to start. This stove is hardy, weighs next to nothing, burns anything flammable, and boils water like a jet engine. Highly recommended.

Accept for the first time I tried to light this stove it's been great. I had a bit of trouble with priming and lighting it the first time. Once I got that down, it's fired up every time. It dosen't simmer very well, but can sure boil water. I've used this on numerous backpacking trips. Also have never had trouble getting fuel in out of the way areas.

I've used this stove for about 8 years and it has never let me down. The Whisperlite is my stove of choice for long trips, as it is remarkably efficient and burns hot. On the downside, it's a finicky bastard that takes some patience to get going, especially in cold weather. And it only has two real heat levels: raging Hell-fire boil, or off. You won't see many French chefs whipping up a souffle with one of these. Bottom line: if you're doing a weekend hike in the summer or if you're new to camping, save yourself some hassle and take a butane stove. But if you're doing a long trip and weight/size is an issue, the Whisperlite will do the job and keep doing it for years.

Very powerful, even in winter, but simmering almost impossible. Never had clogging problem in four years. White gas is unfoundable in France, so we tried auto gas: frightening priming, but it worked. Last week I broke plastic on the pump two days from the car; I heard this was a fragile part... It is true.

This stove is fantastic. I've used it all over the place with all sorts of different fuels, and it works every time with no problems. The only minor drawback I can think of is that it is dirty.
