MSR WhisperLite Internationale 600 Stove Stoves

MSR WhisperLite Internationale 600 Stove Stoves

DESCRIPTION

Whether it's white gas, kerosene, jet fuel or automobile gasoline, the Whisperlite Internationaleâ„¢ takes it all and burns it easily. The secret is in the large diameter fuel line that lets you burn poor-quality fuel with less maintenance or cleaning than other so-called multi-fuel stoves. Like the Whisperlite Shaker Jet Stove, the Whisperlite Internationaleâ„¢ features a Shaker Jet needle, which automatically pushes out any excess fuel debris with a simple flick of the wrist.

Great for international backcountry adventures, backpacking, mountaineering, kayaking and camping

Windscreen, heat reflector, fuel pump and reusable stuff sack included 14 oz. (400 g.)

i have had my msr stove for about 5 years and it has been flawless, just keep it clean and it will work forever. it melts snow faster than anything, and when its 20 below(celcius) when you get up in the morning, that fast cup of coffee cant be beat.

This is an awfully dependable stove, especially in colder temps. (where the butane cartridges are less dependable). But this stove is awfully messy when you're taking it down; you can't help but get some soot on your fingers. I've never had to use another fuel source other than white gas, so you may want to save yourself the extra bucks by getting the white-gas only model. Another thing is that the legs on my stove became loose fairly early on, not sure if it's my fault or MSRs.

Customer Service

never had to use them

This is the first stove I bought. It is compact, light-weight and easy to start. I've used the stove in all weather conditions for the past 4 years and it hasn't let me down. CLeaning and maintenance is easy and quick (recommended to keep the stove from clogging). If I lose this stove, I would buy another! This stove is good for backpacker. There's nothing not to like about it.

The MSR is the best backpacking/mountaineering stove bar none. It is super durable, super dependable, and boils water faster than any stove I have ever seen!
Anybody who says otherwise is an idiot. They should try practicing with a stove before using it in the field, or maybe even read the instructions that come with it!
THIS STOVE DOES IT ALL! BUY IT!
BEST PIECE OF GEAR I HAVE EVER BOUGHT!!!!!

Customer Service

Yes, but not for the stove.
Manufacturer is very helpful in the rare event that there is a problem with a piece of MSR equipment!

This stove had never failed me in ten years. It consistantly performs well with very little maintenance.

Customer Service

I had to return the pump for repairs and MSR sent me a new pump. Their response was great.

Compact, light and simple to use. It worked much better for me when I removed the wick. I used white gas only and denatured alcohol to prime so I don't know much about using other types of fuel. By far, the best and most reliable stove I've used.

Light, easy to setup, small, and hot. Cooks fast. I've only used it with white gas, so can't speak to how well it handles other fuel types. Shaker jet makes cleaning a non-issue.

Difficult to simmer, but can't say I need that feature often. Make sure you pick up a good windscreen as this will help cooking in less than ideal conditions.

Wouldn't leave home without it.

A great light weight stove that heats up fast. Since there is no simmer, you must watch your food and hold the pot. Nonstick cookware is a plus here. Shaker jet has never clogged in my experience.

Good value for the price. Works well under a variety of conditions and is very reliable. However, one must ensure that no grit or foreign particles get into the system, this can cause time consuming problems if the shaker is not able to dislodge the obstruction. All-round a good buy.

A great product. Light weight and easy of operation make this stove a winner. It boils water really quick. The only down side is getting it to simmer. It does take practice. But I rarely cook with it. I generally just use it to heat water.
