Summary: Killer deal! I was looking for new boots to go along with my new shape skis (X-Screams Series) and I found them. Instead of paying a fortune for Langs, I stumbled upon these while I was out in Tahoe. I noticed the ski patrollers were skiing on Dalbello and I never heard of them. When the guy said it was the best boot he ever owned, I had to try them. He wasn't kidding. I love the comfort and feel, plus I was able to get them for more than half the price of a pair of new Lang's.

Summary: One of the best boots I've ever owned. Great performance. Comfort and flex. Before shape skis I wore Salomon SX91 Equipes. I loved those boots, but these boots are better by far!

Summary: I owned for the longest time, the Salomon SX-91 Equipe and loved the ease of the rear entry. With the advent of the shape ski however, the Salomon boots were rendered obsolete. I have virtually a flat foot, and needed support and comfort in my feet and ankles. When I was looking for a new boot, I happen to be skiing up in Heavenly. I noticed the ski patrol guys were all wearing Dalbello boots, and several of the guys were wearing the TRX-8 Customs. Even though I never heard of Dalbello, I kept an open mind and was willing to try something different based on their recommendations for comfort and quality.
I'm glad I listened. When I got back to Southern California, I noticed that Chick's was selling them at more than 45% off. Well, the rest is history. I use to think that the Salomon brand was the best fit for me. These TRX-8's are very comfortable, as well as a perfect boot for an advanced/expert skier. I highly recommend these boots!

Summary: Although these boots appeared to fit and flex well in the ski shop, they became uncomfortable and stiff in actual ski conditions. With shaped skiis, I was unable to get down and forward on the ski due to the lack of boot flexibility. Also, the oweners manual was deplorable - It was a manual designed for several pairs of boots and in 5 different languages - OK that's tolerable, but the real problem is that the boot I purchsed wan't even covered in the manual! Also, there is no way to determine the settings for inclination and stiffness, so it is extemely difficult to adjust both boots to the same setting. The manufacturer really needs to do their homework on this one.
